Program Outline
This program will provide students with the skills required to develop into high performance athletes. With access to high performance coaches and trainers, students will gain the skills needed to develop their individual sport performance and become elite in their chosen field. 

Attendance is required 2 days per week, over 12 months.
The program includes the following study topics:
  • Athlete welfare
  • Leadership and time management
  • Brand management
  • Coaching and officiating

The program has a high performance training focus that is sport specific and includes components such as:
  • Benchmark testing
  • Group training
  • Recovery programming

Entry requirements
We note that in order to be recognised as an elite student athlete, and receive special support, you must be a member of at least one of the sporting organisations or teams listed:

  • Australian Institute of Sport
  • State Institutes or Academies of Sport
  • AFL Players' Association
  • Australian Cricketers' Association
  • Rugby Union Players' Association
  • Rugby League Professionals' Association
  • Australian Professional Footballers' Association
  • State or National squad and league members from Australian Sports Commission (ASC) supported sports (including athletes who have qualified for national championships)
It is strongly recommended that those entering this qualification possess a Certificate III qualification or vocational experience in events, or fields such as business, creative industries, hospitality, sport, tourism or travel. However this is not mandatory.
